Mix n Match may sound like a corner candy store filled with sweets and treats but it also can apply to sweet fashion. As you probably have noticed, everything this season is laden with patterns. Whole tops, lining on clothes, bags, cute dresses, belts on khaki high wasited shorts, and especially bathing suits are print-happy. The most popular print this season is obviously floral. Floral prints are popular in the spring and summer because not only do you see flowers popping out of the ground, you see them popping up on people’s outfits.
Florals are not the only popular print this season. Other examples are, paisley, nebula, and more here are some examples:
These patterns could be seen in bright - neutral colors, on crop tops, shorts, skirts, dresses, or more. You can also mix and match these patterns. This occurs on some shirts, and dresses and other articles of clothing. Meshing of different patterns can be cute but can be very tricky. For example, wearing similar patterns on a romper but in different colors would be fine, as long as the colors are similar enough. Whatever looks and feels right, rock it! Delias, free people, anthropologie, forever 21 and topshop have cute clothes with mixed designs!
