001: Introductory

So I thought i’d so an introductory post since some of you will be reading my two cents about fashion and such. My name’s Nikki and i’m a sophomore in high school. I live in Massachusetts, but if you read my sidebar you probs already knew that. I write for my school newspaper, and i’m and active member of the student council at my school. I do three sports a year. Cross country, indoor track, and softball. I’m a really laid back and mostly nice person. I try to be funny. I do what I can. I love friends and family. I’m an only child so i’m almost always talking to or texting someone. People think i’m crazy for loving to run but I find it theraputic. Others just think i’m crazy. I couldn’t agree more.

I start getting interested in fashion a few years ago. Everyone was obsessed with Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle and Aeropostale. Being the 7th grader I was, naturally I wanted to fit in so those are the only places I shopped. Then, I started to read The Clique Books. I started in July 2008 and I read them religously and finished up the latest one out. This opened my eyes to so many new designers. In a nutshell, i waned to be Massie Block. She had the most perfect clothes, all the time. My favorite designers and stores are Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Express, Anthropolgie, Coach, Bebe, and more.

In this blog, look for this simple approach: Taking the expensive clothes everyone wants, and finding cheaper, similar, and more affordable finds. I might also do an Outfit of the Day, every day in the month of February or January. I will mostly supply the photography. I take all my pictures with my Canon Powershot sx120. I’m getting a Macbook Pro for Christmas, so I might just take some with my iSight. Enjoy!
